Being Injured isn't Going So Badly For Paul Pogba

  • Reports: Mourinho Orders Pogba To Take A Break

France global midfielder Pogba has missed matches against Everton, Burton Albion and Southampton since suffering a hamstring injury against Basel in the Champions League on September 12.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has insisted he will not "cry" over the absence of Paul Pogba, but instead will place his trust in the remainder of his squad for the indefinite time the Frenchman will be unavailable for selection.

The France worldwide is expected to miss a fourth game in a row when the Premier League's joint-leaders travel to Southampton on Saturday (23 September), but there is increasing uncertainty over his future.

Orava, who recently helped injured Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele, is set to hold talks with Pogba over his rehibilation.

And ESPN claim the lack of uncertainty surrounding Pogba's injury is because they are yet to decide if he needs surgery.

"His injury is a little different to Dembele because he can heal without surgery", Orava told Florida-based news outlet HS.

"He is a loss but Marouane Fellaini has come in, and United have got Ander Herrera, Michael Carrick. Until he's back, I trust my players".

"No idea", Mourinho said when asked when he would make a return.

"He goes from the bench, even if for ten minutes like in the last match at home, he tries to enjoy and to give something in the extra minutes".

"You're going to lose players during the season, you've got to overcome it".

The battle for this season's Premier League title does seem to be one taking place in the city of Manchester, and a quick return for Pogba might just tilt things towards the red half of it.

After the two-week lay-off, United face four away games in a row against Liverpool, Benfica, Huddersfield and Swansea.
