The show, hosted by Stephen Colbert, will air live on CBS at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Plus, there will be plenty of photos and videos on the Emmys/Television Academy and CBS Facebook pages. The red carpet event for Emmys can be watched live on the E! Eastern time, there will be a stream put on from the folks at Entertainment Weekly and People who will take you through some of the fashion on the night alongside interviews with the big arrivals to the show.

Not complaining too much though, because now we get to stuff ourselves with the decadent body decor that is Emmy fashion! Everyone has a favorite show or actor but there are some clear favorites in the list of nominees.

NBC's long-running sketch comedy "Saturday Night Live" and HBO's futuristic robot drama "Westworld" started the Emmy race tied as the nominations leaders with 22 apiece. Melissa McCarthy has already won a Creative Arts Emmy for her depiction of former White House press secretary Sean Spicer, and its quite possible Alec Baldwin will have a positive reception for his impersonation of President Trump.

During the show The Talk, Colbert opened up about the entertainment quotient of the highly anticipated event and said: "We have an opening musical number I hope everybody likes, we have some surprise guests - couple more just came through today - and we also have nudity".
