  • Jennifer Lawrence relied on the Kardashians during movie shoot

"My casting director mentioned that she was interested in working again".

Even Jennifer Lawrence was shocked when she saw her upcoming horror flick for the first time.

The A-lister recently sat down for an interview with the Today Show's Savannah Guthrie and, after pointing out how the actress has done at least one film a year since 2010, the host asks if she ever plans to take a break.

"I'm taking [a break]".

"I'm taking one", Lawrence answered. Like many stars of her caliber, it seems Lawrence is fed up with her lack of privacy.

But Wednesday night marked the first public display of affection between actress Jennifer Lawrence, 27, and director Darren Aronofsky, 48, two weeks into the promotional tour. Did you hear that, how much they love me?' So I don't put any stock in it.

The assumption that if you throw enough ideas at the screen something will stick, allowing the audience to make of it what they will, doesn't wash, certainly not from a film-maker of Aronofsky's calibre. "Now I'm like...[shocked face]"'. She has joined the cast of the Ant-Man sequel and earlier this year premiered the Sundance Film Festival entry Where Is Kyra? in which she plays a woman struggling to survive in Brooklyn on her ailing mother's income. "I didn't even want the script in my house and then I realized that's why he's a genius". For the past year, I've been dealing with him as just a human. She says the role was a departure with a high degree of difficulty. "I don't know how he felt about me".

"Mother!" is a weird, intriguing concept that gets more visually interesting as it goes along, but less engaging in its story, as its last acts basically screams at the audience how fame is bad and if you're in a relationship with an artist - run far, far away. She also received an Emmy nomination for her cocktail-drinking, chain-smoking Ruth Madoff in Barry Levinson's HBO movie The Wizard of Lies.
