"We, the undocumented youth, will not be a marketing chip for Trump", they recited in unison.

After smiling and occasionally trying to speak through much of the protest, an aggravated Pelosi told the protesters to "just stop it, now".

Protesters shouted down Pelosi, calling her a "liar" while also chanting "Democrats deport" and "all 11 million", signaling that they were seeking amnesty for all of the immigrants living in the United States illegally.

"Democrats created an out-of-control deportation machine", the protesters yelled.

Some of the protesters went as far to call Pelosi a "liar", NBC reported.

She had begun her speech, calling dreamers courageous.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday night said they had reached a deal with President Donald Trump that would protect certain unauthorized immigrants as part of a broader border-security agreement. But the White House and Congressional Republicans say nothing is finalized.

Half an hour after the press conference started, Pelosi left.

"What I interpret from what you are saying that you do not want us to proceed with the DREAM Act because it is not comprehensive immigration reform".

Following the Trump administration's decision to end the DACA initiative, communities across the country are fighting back to lobby for the protection of Dreamers.

Trump recently announced plans to halt a program giving them temporary legal status.

The lawsuit joins others filed over President Donald Trump's decision to end DACA, which has allowed almost 800,000 immigrants to obtain work permits and deportation protection since 2012.

During the 2016 presidential election, Trump ran on a hardline immigration platform, promising to end DACA and build a wall on the border with Mexico to stop immigrants from entering and increase jobs for USA workers.
