Nate weakened very quickly as it moved inland - it is now a tropical depression with winds sustained at 35 miles per hour, moving north-northeast at 23 miles per hour.
Thunderstorms are expected today from a cool front that will move across the region and stall - setting up a corridor for what's left of Nate to rain down, according to National Weather Service Meteorologist Kim Buttrick. "It's not going to be something that will cause any significant impact here; just a day of some rain with some heavy showers".
What that means is to expect plenty of clouds and humidity on our Columbus Day with some periods of rain, primarily this morning through Pennsylvania and perhaps lingering into the early afternoon into New Jersey.
