Facebook, Instagram down for some users

In addition, Instagram users are reporting they're unable to use Facebook's photo-sharing social network. People were reportedly not able to access their accounts, thanks to technical issues. There was a problem with entrance to accounts in a similar way on Facebook.

All users in Turkey have had different problems with different user accounts while not all are affected by problem.

A spokesperson for Facebook told Mashable: "We're aware that some people are now having trouble accessing Facebook and Instagram. We're working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible", the Facebook spokesperson said.

At its peak, more than 12,000 users sent reports to site downtime detection site Down Detector, indicating Facebook was down.

Some people said there had been a "total blackout" which stopped them loading the site.

A Facebook spokesperson told Deadline, "We're aware that some people are now having trouble accessing Facebook and Instagram". CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced new Oculus hardware, called Oculus Go, at an event in San Jose as Facebook continued to experience issues.

No cause for the outage has been released.
