  • Uganda takes on Ghana Tomorrow

Ghana may not be one of Africa's five representatives at the 2018 World Cup in Russian Federation.

The Ghana FA, on Saturday night, went Gyan's way, announcing that an official protest has been lodged at Federation Internationale de Football Association.

Uganda Cranes dream of making it to the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals in Russian Federation hangs in balance after settling to goalless draw with Ghana today evening at the Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.

Yesterday's crucial game between Ghana and Uganda in the World Cup Qualifiers was full of big events.

A statement from the Ghana FA read: "The GFA filed the protest to Federation Internationale de Football Association, immediately after the match at the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala".

In a controversial contest, Ghana had a goal disallowed at the death with the linesman wrongly flagging Raphael Dwamena offside, despite replays showing the Black Stars forward was comfortably onside.

Many Ghanaians have taken to social media to vent their anger over the decision although the goal will not significantly affect the Black Stars' chances of qualifying for the World Cup.

The GFA were furious with the conduct of the officials and said television replays had shown it was a "perfect goal".

The referee also denied Ghana a penalty earlier in the second half when midfielder Frank Acheampong of China's Tianjin TEDA was brought down in the box, the GFA said.

Indeed, while both Uganda and Ghana could yet qualify for the World Cup, Egypt would top Group E - eliminating the other two - if they beat Congo-Brazzaville at home on Sunday.

Ghana has 6 points in the group while Egypt lead with 9 points while Uganda has 8.
