  • Gaming company Razer is developing a mobile device that will be ready by the end of the year

Just a day after word dropped that gaming peripheral company Razer would be announcing its first smartphone on November 1, we may already have a good idea of what its specs will be.

Razer acquired smartphone manufacturer Nextbit earlier this year.

Razer is rumored to have started working on the mobile gaming device from previous year. And I can say that we are coming up with a mobile device specifically geared toward gamers and entertainment. "We realized that a lot of our gamers are also passionate about the mobile gaming market, so we've done a couple of moves", he said talking about the smartphone market and why Razer intends to launch its own handset. In January, Razer bought Nextbit, makers of the Nextbit Robin smartphone. Later on, Tim Moss, Head of Razer mobile division, tweeted a photo of him and Tan standing together. But it's dabbled in gaming-centric mobile devices before. The phone, in addition, may also come with insane lighting tech, something that is hallmark Razer courtesy its gaming gear theatrics.

Razer's first phone supposedly rocks a 5.7-inch screen with a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, a Qualcomm Adreno 540 graphics chip (same as the Samsung Galaxy S8), and 64GB of storage.

We aren't exactly sure how a smartphone is made for hardcore gamers, but it's Razer, so we're assuming rainbow colored LEDs with strobe effects and hardware that can withstand hours of Gamma Lab sweat being poured all over it.

Hopefully, more details will surface as we draw closer to the launch date.
