Inciarte beat out center-field finalists Billy Hamilton of the Reds and Michael Taylor of the Nationals to become the first courageous to win consecutive Gold Gloves since shortstop Andrelton Simmons in 2013-2014, and first Braves outfielder to do it since Andruw Jones won 10 in a row through 2007.

After recording a 200-hit season and being selected to his first All-Star team, Ender Inciarte added some gleaming hardware to his 2017 haul Tuesday when the Braves center fielder won his second consecutive National League Gold Glove. Reds catcher Tucker Barnhart and Marlins left fielder Marcell Ozuna also won for the first time.

Buxton and Dozier are the first Twins since Joe Mauer in 2010 to win a Gold Glove.

This is Hosmer's fourth Gold Glove, which ties catcher Salvador Perez for third-most among Royals players.

Baseball America rated Barnhart the best defensive catcher in the organization for four straight seasons from 2011-2014 and, following the 2011 season, he received Minor League Baseball's prestigious Rawlings Gold Glove Award for catchers.

Hosmer played in all 162 games for the first time in his career, seeing action at first base in 157 of them, which led the American League. He had a streak of 120 games (1,013 chances) without being charged with an error, the longest streak by a Royals first baseman, according to Elias Sports Bureau. A combination of the worldwide fan vote and the SABR Defensive Index will determine who takes home the honor of each League's top defensive player.

Major League Baseball announced the winners of the award - which recognizes a player at each position's defensive abilities throughout the season - on Tuesday night.

Four Cleveland players were finalists for the awards at their respective positions: Carlos Santana, Francisco Lindor, Yan Gomes and Jose Ramirez. But the votes of major league coaches and managers still account for about 75 percent of the selection process.
