  • Luis Suarez feels Barcelona is the next logical step for Liverpool striker Philippe Coutinho

Luis Suarez has talked up Philippe Coutinho leaving Liverpool by saying he would "bring a lot" to Barcelona, who failed in their attempts to sign him in the summer.

The Brazilian, who was wanted by Barcelona in the summer, had to stay put at Liverpool, despite submitting a transfer request.

Barcelona are expected to make another offer when the transfer window reopens in January and Suárez's public praise of Coutinho will do little to persuade the Brazilian global that his long-term future remains at Anfield.

Suarez played with Coutinho at Anfield in the 2013-14 season as Brendan Rodgers' side came excruciatingly close to the Premier League title, and it appears the Barcelona striker is keen on a reunion.

The Spanish publication says that Coutinho's entourage understand that Liverpool would be willing to cash in on this time if Barcelona come calling with an offer worth €150m.

Coutinho has also scored against Spartak Moscow, Newcastle United and Maribor, while the number 10 has made three assists in all competition since his return to the Liverpool team.

The new Barcelona offer for Coutinho will be 120 million euros.

"Despite trying to leave Liverpool he continued as one more helping the team and working". Though they remain in the market for the player with another bid possible.

"He would bring a lot to Barca, I have played with him and know that he is a top level player".

"He went through a hard and very complicated moment but as a professional, he continued to show how good a player he is". The Brazil squad has been preparing in Paris for the two matches.
