Morrissey Defended Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey and Everyone's Pissed

  • The former Smiths frontman said that many of the actresses who made allegations about disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein 'knew exactly what was happening and were'simply disappointed

Rapp shocked the world after claiming that Kevin Spacey assaulted him when he was just 14.

In the opinion of the contractor, who has previously expressed his support for Kevin spacey and Harvey Weinstein, the alleged victims accused the celebrities of harassment because they did not like intimacy. He was wondering where the boy's parents were.

His take on Weinstein was also shocking, saying that "people know exactly what happens".

“I dont know how things are with you, but I have never been in situations like these in my youth.

"I was always aware of what could happen". That's why it does not sound very credible to me. During an interview with Spiegel Online, Morrissey said it seems Spacey has "been unnecessarily attacked" and that Rapp may have "had an inkling of what might possibly happen".

Sexual misconduct allegations against Weinstein, first detailed in reports by The New York Times and The New Yorker beginning in October, have led to a flurry of other women and men in Hollywood coming forward with similar allegations.

Despite his bewildering claims, Morrissey did state that in some extreme cases, "rape is disgusting" and "any physical attack is repugnant". But if everything had gone well and had it given them a great career, they would not talk about it.

While again insisting that he hates "sexual situations that are forced on someone", he says that in "many cases, one looks at the circumstances and thinks that the person referred to as a victim is merely disappointed". "Afterwards they were embarrassed or they didn't enjoy it". In the whole history of Rock "n" Roll there've been musicians who've slept with groupies. If you go through history, nearly everyone is guilty of sleeping with minors. And then they turn it around and say: "'I was attacked, I was surprised, I was pulled into the room.' But if everything went well, and it helped them to a big career, they wouldn't be talking about it".

"That was absolutely normal then", Morrissey replied.
