Comedian Hannibal Buress arrested in Miami

  • Hannibal Buress had to be physically pushed into a police car when he was arrested after a heated confrontation with cops

"Trespassing", an officer replies, though Buress was not charged with trespassing. The charges were disorderly intoxication according to a tweet from the Miami Police Department.

Video footage which we have for you below shows Hannibal arguing with the police while the officers push him up against the auto and make the arrest. When the video begins, Buress is already cuffed and can be heard asking officers repeatedly if he was under arrest and what the charge was.

"Am I under arrest?" For what? Explain what I'm detained for. Eventually, an officer respond with "for trespassing". The Miami New Times points toward initial reports that the comedian attracted law enforcement's attentions for "trespassing".

"You're goofy as f--", Buress told the police. "No, I'm not getting in your auto unless you have probable cause for anything..."

A police report cited by the Herald said Buress, bearing bloodshot eyes and a strong scent of alcohol, asked an officer to call an Uber for him.

TMZ reports that Buress' bail was set at $500.

It remains unclear exactly what circumstances led to Buress being detained against a Miami PD vehicle by two cops, and he appeared to be puzzled as well.

He also is known for bringing attention to sexual assault allegations against fellow comedian Bill Cosby.
