Gunmen attack Peshawar's University of Agriculture

A report in Dawn said three burqa-clad men entered the directorate and started firing.
Inter-Services Public Relations informed that two soldiers who were injured during the attack have been shifted to Combined Military Hospital for treatment.
The area where the incident occurred is a hub for educational institutions in the city including the University of Peshawar.
A heavy contingent of police rushed to the spot and cordoned off.
Generally, there are around 400 students at the hostel, but because of the holiday there were only 150 present. The attack was claimed by Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan.
"These terrorists have no religion as they attacked on a day which is very sacred and the nation was celebrating it", he said.

"We have received six dead bodies and 18 injured, two of them are in critical condition", a spokeswoman for the Hayatabad Medical Complex, Ishrat Bibi, told AFP.
The attack also bore striking similarities to a 2014 Taliban massacre at the army-run school in Peshawar that killed 151 people, mostly schoolchildren. Peshawar, close to the Afghan border, has seen some of the worst violence during the Taliban insurgency in recent years.
