However, in the presser held by advocate Prashant Bhushan and Anjali Bharadwaj, convenor and member of executive committee of CJAR respectively, they once again raked up the medical college scam in which it was alleged that bribes were paid in the name of judges.

Justice Arun Mishra, who appears to have recused himself from the Judge Loya case.

After meeting Chelameswar in the afternoon, Mishra said, "We have been told that there is no crisis". A delegation from the Supreme Court Bar Association and the Bar Council of India met the CJI and several other judges. He said: "I think it (crisis) has not been settled".

The country's top court was hit by unprecedented crisis, after the four senior most judges at a press conference expressed their unhappiness about the functioning of the court and how cases were being allocated arbitrarily. In an apparent warning, the four judges had said on January 12 that the lack of impartiality in allocation of high profile cases and constitution of benches with junior judges could imperil India's democracy. Both Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justice Chelameswar reportedly consoled him, according to reporters, quoting confidential sources in the court.

A resolution, and some administrative changes in the Supreme Court that addresses the grievances of the four judges, are imminent, said a person familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified. When the judges met informally at the Supreme Court lounge, the subject apparently was not raised by anyone as an uneasy calm prevailed. Attorney-general K.K. Venugopal who had claimed on Monday that the storm in the apex court had blown over, admitted that he had erred in assessing the situation. Speaking further, Mishra said that the focus was that no political party is able to utilize this conflict for their own profit, and since this was an internal problem, it should be resolved by talking to the parties. The 5-judge bench will commence the hearing of 8 important cases from January 17.

He said all the four top judges have resolved the differences and were attending the court today. "We are thankful to the four judges and the CJI that they resolved the matter on their own", he said. It will be heard by a bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra on Tuesday.

Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra "struck back" four days after four senior Supreme Court Judges went public with their views against him by overlooking them while constituting a new Constitution Bench of the ape Court.
