Grassley: Chances of Interviewing Kushner 'Shot' Over Transcript

The comment surprised some Democrats given that committees rarely defer key witnesses to other panels.But with the committee's Trump Tower interviews wrapped up, Grassley said he would move to release the transcripts "as soon as possible".
The interviews are part of one of several inquiries into whether the Trump campaign colluded with Moscow.
What transcripts could be released?
"So, now it's time to start officially releasing the transcripts of all witness interviews we have done related to that meeting", Grassley said in the statement.
The committee has interviewed Trump Jr. and numerous Russians involved in the meeting.
Veselnitskaya and Goldstone attended the meeting along with Russian-American lobbyist Rinat Akhmetshin, translator Anatoli Samorchornov, and a businessman named Ike Kaveladze.
He said he hopes that the transcripts can be released either through an agreement with Feinstein or through a committee vote.
United States media reported last July that the President's son, Donald Trump Jr., had met during the 2016 presidential campaign with Russian attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya expecting to receive confidential information about his father's political rival Hillary Clinton.
Democrats have used the June 2016 meeting to suggest the president, his son and other members of the campaign team colluded with Russian Federation ahead of the presidential election.
The Trump Tower meeting, which occurred on June 9, 2016, has been a focus of congressional investigators since it was reported on last July.
Critics say Mr Trump's involvement may constitute obstruction of justice.
Former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and current White House senior adviser Jared Kushner did not testify before the committee.
