New Tax Withholding Tables Mean Bigger Paychecks: GOP(1)

The new law provides steep tax cuts for corporations and wealthy Americans while offering more modest reductions for most low- and middle-income families and individuals. That means employees could start seeing the changes reflected in their paychecks next month, the IRS said.

Moving at the speed of a midterm election, the Trump Administration yesterday unveiled new withholding tables to be used by employers no later than February 15 2018.

The top Democrats on the House Ways and Means and the Senate Finance committees have raised concerns about whether the new tables could lead to systematic underwithholding.
Individual taxpayers aren't required to make any changes to their Form W-4 right now.
