  • White House special adviser Stephen Miller defends US President Donald Trump on the CNN show State of the Union

"These people are so incompetent - such stumblebums - that I think it may be very hard to prove intent", he said. Wolff said Wilbur Ross was Trump's choice for labor secretary; it was actually commerce secretary.

Bannon is the star of book.

Friday was also the same day the other Fire And Fury came out - criticizing President Trump.

Michael Wolff's "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House" is the hottest book in the country right now, and that popularity is having some unintended consequences.

Historian and author Randall Hansen is a lucky man: The title of one of his books is nearly exactly the same as another that recently became very, very well-known.

It caused uproar for revealing White House secrets and accusing Trump of incompetency, but its cover blandly comprises a white backdrop, capitalised text in a mix of blue and red, and a picture of the president.

After reports of in-fighting between Bannon and members of the administration, he was let go over the summer and returned back to Breitbart News where he continued to push the Trump agenda.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders described the president's reaction to the book.

"This is absolutely, literally, what I saw or what I heard", he said.

"We're going to take a very, very strong look at that", he said. "I mean, that's the thing, everybody goes around saying he doesn't read anything", Wolff said.

Euan Tait, events manager for Waterstones Edinburgh West End, told the Scotsman: "Since the announcement that the book's publication would be brought forward, people have been asking non-stop about when it would be arriving".

But Wolff defended the book, insisting that "it is absolutely in no way, shape or form a fictionalized version".

The Daily Beast reported that former White House Special Counsel William Burck will represent Bannon during the interview.

"Part of what I was trying to do was establish this brand, that I can do anything to this image and you can see it anywhere and it just reminds you, 'Oh wow, that guy's making that again, I should pay attention, '" Rodriguez told the magazine. The president clearly believed that he deserved it again past year - but says he refused to sit for a photo shoot unless he was guaranteed to be chosen. "Now I have to put up with a Fake Book, written by a totally discredited author". In response to Bannon's having called a June 2016 meeting between Trump campaign officials and Russians "treasonous" and "unpatriotic", Trump said in a statement that his former colleague had "lost his mind".
