  • My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman | Trailer [HD] | Netflix

No Introduction marks Letterman's return to showbiz after departing CBS' The Late Show in 2015, and he will conduct interviews both in-studio and on location with figures he finds personally fascinating: George Clooney, Malala Yousafzai, Jay-Z, Tina Fey, Howard Stern, and President Barack Obama.

Former President Barack Obama is set to be late-night legend David Letterman's first guest on his new Netflix series next week, marking 44's return to major talk show scene.

Letterman and Obama shared another "first" back in 2009, when the latter became the first sitting president to appear on the "Late Show."

The first episode of Letterman's new show will be Obama's first televised talk-show interview since leaving the presidency in 2017.

Obama has laid low since leaving the White House past year with the exception of a few public appearances and a radio interview with Britain's Prince Harry recorded in September and broadcast last month.

Time has apparently made the heart grow fonder as he prepares for his new show.

Netflix announced the Letterman series in August.

"You never know when you might learn something, and that's what this is about for me, " Letterman said in a teaser for the show.

Almost 14 million people watched Letterman's final show on CBS in May 2015. "These are people that I admire". It aims to spend $7 billion on content next year - up from more than $6 billion over the past year and $5 billion in 2016. "There's some people who will not quit because the show's coming on next month".
