  • The Spice Girls back together again

Victoria Beckham, Geri Horner, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm have never really left the radar since their collective debut in 1996 - though things have been pretty quiet on the music front since their last reunion.

Spice up your life!

Fans have joked about "white powder" spotted in the background of a Spice Girls Instagram picture celebrating their reunion.

Performing at the wedding of the year is one hell of a way to kick-start their reunion.

She told the Sunday Mirror: "We feel really positive about the Spice Girls legacy right now, because all the fans are women now".

Beckham posted a group photo on her Instagram account yesterday.

And said: "Can we pay them not to?"

"When we got together for lunch, it was so lovely to see everybody as we haven't all been together, the five of us, since the Olympics".

All of your '90s dreams have come true, friends: The Spice Girls have reunited (At least, for an afternoon).

"There is no big announcement".

The band - famous for singles such as Wannabe and Who Do You Think You Are - have sold over 85 million records worldwide, one of the best-selling pop groups of all time.

The five chart-toppers "are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for the Spice Girls".

'The time now seems right to explore some incredible new opportunities together'.

Sporty Spice, 44, said "we need the girl power message more now than ever", suggesting that the band members had their famous legacy on their mind in addition to a £10 million paycheck when they chose to reform.

The Spice Girls meeting took place at the office of their former manager Simon Fuller.

A string of chart-topping hits and even a movie, Spice World, followed, before Geri made a decision to quit the group in 1998, leaving Mel C, Mel B, Victoria and Emma to continue as a foursome until 2000.
