  • Westworld Season Two Trailer to Debut During the Super Bowl

If you recall, the first season when through numerous delays as the production outpaced the writing of the scripts.

The trailer is narrated by rancher's daughter turned host rebellion leader Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) who declares, "this world is a lie, and we'll burn it to the ground and build a new world, our world". "Are they simply to teach the human guests a lesson?"

Earlier this week, HBO teased Westworld fans all around the world by sharing a cryptic teaser on Twitter, revealing that a new trailer for its second season would be airing during the Super Bowl.

Westworld season 2 returns April 22 at 9 P.M. We've lived by your rules long enough. Westworld has all the makings of a show that can carry the torch for Thrones but we'll have to see if the momentum will pick back up when it returns in the spring. We see two other familiar hosts in this same setting: Maeve (Thandie Newton) and her old friend Clementine (Angela Sarafyan), the former of whom chose to stay in Westworld after balking on an escape attempt at the end of season one, the latter of whom was last seen firing a bullet into the arm of the Man in Black (Ed Harris) in the season's final moments.

Interestingly, it appears to only show the previous Wild West theme park of season one, offering nothing in terms of whether we'll see the much hinted Samurai World.

HBO has shown footage from the show's upcoming season before, but only to a few lucky fans.

Watch the full trailer, below.

There are obviously still many mysteries to unravel about what Season 2 will bring, and how deep it will go into more of the park's secrets.

The drama series, which turned out to be an enormous smash when it first aired on the network, is going to be officially premiering on Sunday, April 22.
