Lenovo S5 teased ahead of its official launch on March 20

Amazon India has setup a dedicated page for the launch of the Redmi 5 which indicates that the phone will sell exclusively on Amazon India apart from other official Xiaomi channels. Xiaomi launched the 32-inch and 43 inch Mi TV 4A in India.
XiaomiRedmi 5 operates on the basis of the Snapdragon 450 with a frequency of 1.8 GHz and graphics processor Adreno 506. This smartphone is expected to be Xiaomi Redmi 5.
Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro which starts at Rs 9,999 and is pegged at a higher segment.
Amazon India is also teasing the smartphone with the number 5, which further suggests that this could be the Redmi 5.
In China, Xiaomi had launched Redmi 5 2GB RAM at a price tag of CNY 799 (approximately Rs 8,100), the 3GB RAM variant is priced at CNY 899 (approximately Rs 9,100) while the 4GB RAM variant is priced at CNY 1,299 (approximately Rs 13,200). Apparently, we can come t a conclusion that the company might have sold 5 million units of the Redmi 5A till date.

The resolution of the display is 720×1440 pixels. The phone is available in Dark Grey, Rose Gold, and Gold colour variants.
