Scotland's Ryan Wilson cited for incident during Calcutta Cup

  • Ireland well positioned to claim Six Nations but Schmidt concerned about defence

Wilson will face a disciplinary hearing held by a Six Nations disciplinary committee this Wednesday.

Six Nations are yet to confirm if the incident was reported, while Police Scotland confirmed on Sunday that there were no reports made to them from the clash.

According to reports, Farrell did not instigate the incident but both teams have been asked to explain the incident. The incident occurred in the first half with No 8 Nathan Hughes. We got beaten at the breakdown and we've got to find out why.

Expanding on being dominated at the breakdown - where Scotland secured 10 turnovers to England's four - Jones added: "We could play tomorrow and the breakdown could be significantly different, so let's not get too carried away with it".

Jones will examine the fault lines when the squad gathers in Oxford for training this week, but he refuses to view the champions' fading control of the 2018 Six Nations as anything other than a temporary setback.

A Scottish Rugby spokesperson told the BBC: "Scotland are delighted to have won the Calcutta Cup at Murrayfield and the focus of the team now turns to the game against Ireland in Dublin".

"We allowed the game to disappoint us at times and there are some good lessons".

Betway's Alan Alger said: "Sunday wasn't too kind as United fans were out in force backing their side- we also saw trebles with United as the meat in the sandwich of odds-on sides Tottenham, who grabbed a late victor, and Man City, who weren't tested by an abysmal Arsenal at Wembley". "As always Ronnie was the most popular pick with punters so we took quite a hammering from him beating Ding in the final", said Apati.
