Visually impaired girls from the Andh Kanya Prakash Gruh school for the blind celebrate the release of Bollywood actor Salman Khan from Jodphur Central jail following a court decision to grant bail to the actor, in Ahmedabad on April 7, 2018. His lawyers were asked to file a bail bond of Rs 50,000 and produce a Rs 25,000 surety from two persons each to guarantee that the actor will comply with all bail conditions.

The other four accused - actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam, and Sonali Bendre - were acquitted in the case.

Hundreds of Khan's overjoyed fans danced outside the courtroom and chanted "We love you, Salman".

Check out some tweets on the micro-blogging site here.

Salman's close buddies Mika Singh, Rohit Roy and Sonu Sood, filmmaker Subhash Ghai, actors Neil Nitin Mukesh, Rahul Dev and Aftab Shivdasani and playback singer Adnan Sami expressed happiness on Salman being granted bail by the Jodhpur sessions court in the case on Saturday afternoon. The community has pursued the case against Khan for nearly two decades and cheered the decision by setting off firecrackers near the courthouse and handing out candies. Four other Bollywood actors accused in the case were acquitted. "This has nothing to do with Khan's personality as an actor", he said.

He has spent a total of 20 days in the jail in 1998, 2006, 2007 and this time. He had been sentenced to prison terms of between one and five years in related cases before being acquitted by appeals courts for lack of evidence.

Khan, 52, was found guilty of violating wildlife laws by killing a blackbuck, an endangered species of antelope, in 1998.

Khan was convicted under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act 1972.
