Brian Peters: Egg-ceptional weather for Easter weekend

01 April, 2018, 01:39 | Author: Barbara Daniel
  • Fred's forecast for March 28

Not a bad start for the Easter Weekend. We will see plenty of sunshine in the forecast through today, highs will be around 70° with low humidity and winds from the north. Wednesday will be a rather chilly day with temperatures during the day mainly in the 50s. High pressure will move in and take control of our overall weather pattern for the next few days, starting with today.

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy skies and scattered rain showers develop for Monday, with a high temperature of 58 degrees. Rain and snow showers will gradually end Sunday morning leaving Sunday afternoon breezy and partly to mostly cloudy with highs in the low 40s. More significant accumulations are still possible across central IN and IL.

If you have any loose objects around your home (garbage cans, patio furniture, etc), you'll want to get them secured first thing Saturday morning. Winds will be cool and gusty, out of the Northeast between 10-15 miles per hour, keeping things along the coast feeling even cooler.

Saturday night is expected to be frosty with a possibility of some ice setting in later in the night, with lowest temperatures of -3 degrees. Sunday should be a touch warmer thanks to the return of a southerly wind.

Thinking ahead to next week, Monday will be dry before another system approached Tuesday & Wednesday.

Sat Night: Low: 26 Windy - Rain mixing to snow showers. Highs in the upper 70s. Afternoon highs will eventually reach the lower to middle 60s.
