Snapchat has been introducing new features into its app in an attempt to distinguish itself from the pack. On 25 April, Snapchat launched Snappables - AR games that use your touch, motion and facial expressions.

If the person standing next to you on the bus starts making amusing faces, don't worry, they may just be playing around with a new feature from Snapchat.

Users can control Snappbles using their facial expressions, movements and touch gestures. Snap believes the new Lenses will mark "the beginning of a new type of AR experience on Snapchat".

Earlier today, we told you that some Snapchat users are testing a revised UI that once again has stories from a member's friends and family in the same location as content from celebrities, brands, publishers and media.

Group Video Calls does not need much introduction-it allows you to start a video call when you are a part of a group. Some can even change your voice or the world around you. There will be a few to start and new games will be released every single week. New Snappables are already available in the carousel dynamically, just like other Lenses. When you open the camera on Snapchat, long press on the viewfinder and you will be taken to your lenses. There are games that will pit users against each other and the one who secures the high score wins.

The Snapchat app logo. Its rivals like Facebook and Instagram still has not rolled out any AG based features on their platforms and it remains to be seen how they react to this latest feature of Snapchat.
