Queen Elizabeth was in conversation with English broadcaster and naturalist Sir David Attenborough when she channeled a little tongue-in-cheek humour out. "Of course they've said 'Oh well, let's give her a plant ... or a tree or something'".

The pair, who were born a month apart, share jokes about a tree that appears to have been "sat on", and a sundial planted in the shade. Then, after a pause, she adds with a smile: "I won't be here though".

They were filmed during an unscripted 90-minute tour of the 40-acre garden as part of the programme about the Queen's Commonwealth Canopy.

In the special, Jolie visits Namibia with her six kids-Maddox (16), Pax (14), Zahara (13), Shiloh (11), Knox (9) and Vivienne (9)-to shed light on forest conservation in Africa and reveals that Queen Elizabeth is an inspiration for her children.

The Queen and Sir David have been friends for decades! He mixes up the name tags for Andrew and Edward, identifying both as Andrew when he bends down to look.

"Might easily be, yes", the queen says.

Sir David has since cheerfully admitted: "I couldn't find my glasses".

At one point, the Queen makes an unusually unguarded comment about "health and safety" attempts to prevent children from playing conkers, saying: "It seems to me quite harmless".

Another amusing moment occurs when the monarch spots a young sapling tree bent over, saying: "That one we won't look at because it doesn't seem to be doing very well".

In a serious moment the Queen highlights the benefit of the network of safeguarded Commonwealth forests, telling Sir David: "I mean they're all kinds of different (trees), different places that they're growing in and all sorts of, different types of forest".

Mr Field has called for the Queen to be given the Nobel Peace Prize for keeping the Commonwealth together during her 66 years on the throne.

"The Queen's Green Planet" is set to air on United Kingdom broadcaster ITV later this month.
