After the IN attack, students were bused to the Noblesville High School gym, where hundreds of parents and other family members arrived to retrieve them. Students tell us a 13-year-old girl was hit. "We have no reason to believe that there is any kind of a threat connected to this anywhere else".

Indiana's Senate Democrats issued a statement in response to Friday's school shooting expressing their condolences to the victims and calling for steps to prevent such shootings, including restrictions on guns.

An eighth-grader says he counted 16 gunshots inside his suburban Indianapolis middle school during a shooting that authorities say left a student and a teacher injured. "We know there are also many other victims as well, students that observed this, teachers that observed this, law enforcement officers that observed this, and we're gonna try to get through it". "We have two victims - one an adult teacher and one a juvenile student - who have been transported to hospital", Jowitt said. The students were in class when the suspect asked to be excused. However, hospital officials said three people were injured in the shooting, including at least one adult. "The situation resolved itself quickly and he was taken into custody". He also said that officials would be reviewing video from the school.

Thoughts and prayers aren't enough to keep our students and educators safe.

Gov. Eric Holcomb, who is on the inaugural flight from Paris to Indianapolis, also tweeted: "Speaker Bosma, Pro Tem Long and I are monitoring the situation at Noblesville West Middle School from the air on our return trip to Indianapolis from Europe", Holcomb said in a statement. "You'll be proud of them, too".

"We've had these shootings around the country", Noblesville Mayor John Ditslear said. Neighbors told him they had seen FBI and ATF teams arrive in unmarked cars around 11:30 a.m. and described the home that appeared to be the focus of the investigation as "newer homeowners and a nice family".

"He talked to his wife", Jeremy said.

While it seems as though school shootings are happening more and more, it's factually true. The school's academic year was scheduled to end next Friday. She phoned to tell her father she was alright and recalled the horrifying incident. "I just want to get my arms around my boy", she said. "I got a "Mom, I'm scared" text message and other than that, it was "come get me at the high school, '" Higgins said".

A communicated threat was then reported at the high school, which prompted a temporary lock down, according to an email the district sent to parents.
