Apple Ditching 3D Touch In 2018 Entry-Level iPhone X2

  • Apple ликвидирует в iPhone одно из самых нервирующих ограничений

The iPhone is by far the biggest product from Apple, accounting for more than 60 percent of its revenue past year, but chief executive Tim Cook and other executives have targeted services as a path to growth.

Apple may be forced to abandon its 3D Touch technology in an effort to cut iPhone costs.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has revealed some information about the three iPhones, said back in January that one of the models would leave out the 3D Touch feature. Eventually, however, the Apple analyst believes that it would only be a matter of time before 3D Touch is completely retired from the company's devices. For Apple, the iPhone generates about two-thirds of sales, and the other third comes mostly from products and services best used with an iPhone.

Apple iPhone screens can now crack quite easily, even in the case of the latest iPhone X.

By expanding this scheme, Apple will attempt to convince investors that business is doing well amid claims that iPhone sales are beginning to decline.

Indications of this alleged change surfaced previous year when Barclays analysts suggested that Apple would eventually stop including the adapter with 2018 being the potential beginning of that change.

As noted in a Forbes report, the prospect of 3D Touch being retired is quite unfortunate. The most obvious speculation is the iPhone X Plus, which could be the larger counterpart of the iPhone X released in 2017. Though it's hard to imagine for anyone to be disappointed if this feature was to be removed, there are a bunch of 3D Touch loyalists out there, as Gizmodo notes, and they swear by its convenience.

While the 6.1-inch iPhone will miss out on OLED display and 3D touch, it will still retain the iPhone X bezel-less design and the infamous notch on the top. Apple might be planning to unveiling it at its yearly WWDC conference which is going to take place from June 4 - 8. "That launch itself could move iPhone sales up 5% a year", said Gene Munster, co-founder of Loup Ventures and a longtime Apple analyst. However, the new iPhone will not receive the support of face recognition technology and 3D touch technology.
