Google, in general, is working to make the Android messaging experience a little better, which makes sense. Many of these features were announced when the company revealed its upcoming Android Messages overhaul in April.

That's distinct from Apple's text messaging service iMessage, which has linked up the messaging on an iPhone to the app on an iPad, and even connecting it to iMessage on macOS, providing lots of different ways to view, collect, and send messages.

The new feature in Android Messages app will let users send and receive text messages on their computers. However, this option section of the Messages app is not live yet, and the service will only become fully available when this happens.

You need an Android phone running Android 5.0 Lollipop or above. This feature is available for Indian users as well, and it displays all the Wi-Fi networks nearby- be it a small store or a big Mall, Wi-Fi networks will be displayed.

Google announced in April that they were aiming to fix Android Messages, and this marks the first major update to the service since the initial announcement. Currently, the Messages for Web supports only Chrome browser and is expected to add support for all the other browsers in the near future. Once you have all that set, you can continue to the next step.

Next, open the Android Messages app on the mobile phone. In the app, tap More (three vertical dots) Messages for web.

Open the new Messages for web from here. A QR code will appear on your screen. When it's ready, your phone will vibrate. According to the company, the user's latest conversation threads, contacts, and other settings will be encrypted and cached on their browser. So, if you start a podcast on one device, you can ask another device to play it and it will pick up where you left off. This is for security reasons. For starters, when you tap the "+" icon, you'll now be able to search for GIFs to add to your conversation. Many carriers have also pledged to back Chat and integrate the benefits (read receipts, typing indicators, full-resolution images and video, and improved group texts) offered by RCS.
