The confirmation happened on The Tonight Show when host Jimmy Fallon teased Davidson that he didn't have to get engaged just to get on his show.

No joke here: Ariana Grande is engaged to "Saturday Night Live" performer Pete Davidson.

NBC released a pre-air clip of the "Tonight Show" exchange between Davidson and Fallon.

Pete Davidson was Jimmy Fallon's guest on Wednesday's The Tonight Show, where he confirmed his engagement to Ariana Grande publicly for the first time. Since then, they have featured heavily in one another's social media and are said to have moved into a NY residence designed by celebrity architect Zaha Hadid.

"But I did, though.I feel like I won a contest".

On Saturday, Pete shared a photo on Instagram which appeared to show Ariana wearing an engagement ring. It's so sick. It's f*cking lit, Jimmy.

He also revealed that a fan stopped him in the street to tell him: "Yo man, you, like, gave me hope!".

One follower wrote: "Girl we know you love him but are you dumb", to which the "No Tears Left To Cry" hitmaker simply replied "nah".

The exciting news comes after the star told a fan that "life's too short to be cryptic" about her romance with new fiancé Pete Davidson.

Grande's broke up with Mac Miller; Davidson and girlfriend Cazzie David also split around the same time.

She also admitted she had been suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder since the terror attack on her concert in Manchester previous year, which killed 22 people.
