The star wife has pleasantly surprised fans with the release of the first album of their duet for The Carters "Everything is Love", and here is a video for the title track "Apesh-t" has caused a mixed reaction. Consider this: Jay-Z and Kanye West release a joint album on Tidal later this year.

When Beyoncé and Jay-Z wrapped up their second night in London with their "On The Run II" tour, they dropped an album at the end of the show, and naturally, everybody lost their minds.

Jay-Z and Beyonce's six-year-old daughter Blue Ivy separately makes an appearance on the album and says "hello" to her twin siblings Rumi and Sir, who turned one on Thursday. What many fans noticed was The Carters took over the Louvre museum for their video shoot, something that would be hard or impossible for any other artists to do. In "Lovehappy" Beyonce sings, "You did some things to me, boy, you do some things to me / But love is deeper than your pain, and I believe you can change".

Driven by warm, sultry soul with a largely hip-hop cadence, "Everything is Love" marries the styles of the two artists but is more consistent with the recent direction of Jay-Z. So her album came out as opposed to the joint album that we were working on. Dagens Naeringsliv, a business newspaper in Norway where Tidal had its roots before Jay-Z's purchase, last month said that the company had been inflating its figures, a charge the firm denied.

The rapper has shown his support for Colin Kaepernick, the now-unemployed National Football League quarterback.

The album features Beyonce rapping on songs more than she has done on previous releases.
