Liverpool will be at home to Everton in the first fixture of the two.

Arsenal's game against Man City is without doubt the highlight of the opening weekend of the season, which kicks off on August 11 and will finish on May 12.

The Premier League's 20 clubs learned their 2018/19 fate on Thursday morning, when each of their 38 games for the season were announced.

The first Manchester derby, which will pit last season's top two against each other, is due to take place on November 10 when Jose Mourinho's United make the short jounrey across town.

Attentions will now turn towards whether Manchester City will be able to recreate their fine form next season as they look to try and defend their title.

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, is furious with the Premier League board for giving Liverpool a more favourable series of fixtures than the Red Devils.

Leicester City will host the champions on Boxing Day before Southampton get the honours to do the same in Manchester City's final game of the year.

Tottenham Hotspur will start the 2018/19 Premier League season away to Newcastle United, just like they did in the previous campaign.

Liverpool will discover their Champions League opponents on August 30 when the draw for the group stages is made in Monaco.

And 2019 faces an explosive start with Liverpool due to travel to the Etihad for what promises to be another key game in the battle for the title next season.

According to The Times, Mourinho is upset that Jurgen Klopp's side have been awarded six home games after each of their Champions League group games.

Cardiff start at Bournemouth while Fulham, who secured their place in the top flight via a Wembley play-off final win over Aston Villa start the league season at home to Crystal Palace.

In between those two eye-catching fixtures, City will play the newly-promoted trio of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Cardiff City and Fulham, as well as last year's promoted teams Huddersfield, Newcastle and Brighton. Arsenal and Chelsea only announced a preseason friendly in Dublin for August 1 on Wednesday, and they will meet again in the league just 17 days later.
