  • How the Rockets should convince Le Bron James to sign with them

As anticipated, point guard Chris Paul remained with the Houston Rockets.

Chris Paul has signed a $160 million deal for four years with the Houston Rockets, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Paul essentially confirmed the new deal via a post on his personal Twitter account, wherein he indicated there was "unfinished business" in Houston. But Paul got hurt at the end of Game 5 at the Western Conference Finals. He also served as an imposing presence at the rim, as evidenced by his 1.9 blocks per game average and the fact that he led the team in defensive win shares with 4.1.

The Los Angeles Lakers struck out on Paul George in National Basketball Association free agency, and LeBron James' representatives reportedly will meet with the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday.

The deal will keep the Rockets' starting backcourt of Paul and reigning Most Valuable Player James Harden signed through the 2022-23 season.

Paul is going into his 14th season in the league, during which he'll be 34 years old. Last season, Green averaged 12.1 points per game off the bench.

TNT's David Aldridge reported Sunday that the Lakers will have a meeting with Houston Rockets center Clint Capela, who's a restricted free agent.
