  • Keep low profile’ – US Embassy warns citizens ahead of Trump UK visit protests

The president is scheduled to meet with British Prime Minister Theresa May and Queen Elizabeth during his visit.

Some 50,000 people are expected to attend a protest against Trump's visit on Friday (July 13)-just one of several demonstrations that organizers have promised will be a "carnival of resistance."

The largest demonstration is expected in central London on Friday where a giant "Trump baby" balloon will fly close to Parliament after being given the go-ahead by London mayor Sadiq Khan.

USA president Donald Trump is set to touch down in Britain for a highly controversial visit after sparking a new firestorm on the global stage.

The Trumps will have left town the night before for Scotland, where the President owns two golf properties, Trump Turnberry and Trump Aberdeen.

"What Donald Trump is coming here to talk about is a trade deal".

In April, Trump criticized the new location of the US Embassy in London after it moved from its long-standing Grosvenor Square site in central London to its new home south of the city.

Amid reports that the government is working to bring a major police presence to the demonstrations, Amnesty International warned British authorities against attempting to stamp out freedom of expression in an effort to "appease their visitors".

Last week, Downing Street revealed an itinerary that appeared to keep the US leader out of Britain's capital, which has raised suspicions that May is trying to shield Trump from widespread protests planned over the visit.

Asked about his father's visit and US-UK relations, he said: "He has worked here for so many years, he knows so many people". They will be doing that in concert with the Civil Aviation Authority, the US Air Force and the RAF.

"There's always turmoil in every country but no, no, I think the United Kingdom is proceeding as it always does", he told BBC radio. "If a balloon flying over London makes people laugh, I think that's absolutely worth it", she says.

- "Stop Trump Coalition" - The "Stop Trump Coalition", a network of grassroots campaigns, unions, NGOs and politicians, said in a statement on Facebook that Friday "could be a march of millions".

Mr Trump will meet the US Ambassador at Winfield House after arriving and then head to Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire.

A spokesperson for Prime Minister Theresa May said Trump was "wrong" to share the videos.

He also said he had "always liked" Boris Johnson, who quit as foreign secretary on Monday, while he joked that his meeting with Russian leader Mr Putin in Helsinki next week "may be the easiest" part of his European trip.

The first couple departed Tuesday for a trip to Europe, where the president is expected to visit the United Kingdom, attend the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit in Brussels, and meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki.
