What just happened? A massive Pixel 3 XL image leak surfaced today that gives us details about the device's hardware, software, and overall design. Android Police was the first to spot the posting.

The addition would be noteworthy; finding USB-C headphones isn't exactly easy, as competing audio standards have made it hard for manufacturers to support devices with USB-C ports in lieu of 3.5mm headphone jacks.

We also get another view of the notch, and it's a big one.

The Android 9 Pie release is the proof in the proverbial pudding that Android as an operating system has hit its stride. On-screen content seems to confirm that we're looking at a Pixel 3 XL running Android 9 with an 8-core Qualcomm processor - that we assume is the Snapdragon 845 - and an Adreno 630 GPU. While most smartphone makers are going for 2 or 3 cameras, the Pixel 3 XL still comes with a single rear shooter. The default wallpaper also bears an uncanny resemblance to the one in the iPhone X.

The new photos show a phone that looks very similar to the purported Pixel 3 XL in photos posted to the XDA Developers forum in early June.

Does speedy software updates make up for Google's odd design choices?

This appears to be a "Clear White" version of the phone that has previously been leaked. That's a higher resolution than the Pixel 2 XL, though the memory is the same on the current model. Looking at the front of the device we can see an iPhone X-like notch which appears to house two cameras.

Starting with the phone itself, the images once again show a device with a sizeable chin and a thick display notch.
